Interior design in fairy pink from Ikea

It’s hard to believe that these pink princess rooms are a collection from Ikea. That’s what I like most about Ikea – they’re never afraid of change. These particular pictures are from their part of a Home Decor interior design event in Madrid, where they collaborated with Lorenzo Meazza & Rocio Romero and the name of this pink decor is Princess Wanted…a more than fitting name :)

The inspiration for this collection is derived from fairytales and gives a feeling of a feminine pink world of romance and nostalgia. I get a bit of a “Stepford Wives” with Nicole Kidman feeling…I’m just not sure if this is a good thing or not! However, what I do know is that I love pink and will always have it as a favourite colour :)

All princesses that want to sleep in a pink fairytale bed: raise your hand! :)

LOVE M

You have right, I didn’ t suppose that’ s the Ikea design. I think that there is no sadness in that house!

This is not a bad idea, Maria! I also love pink and if one things makes me always chose Ikea over other classic and expensive furniture brands is the joy that all their work make me feel. Some may say pink is just for little princess, but I say “NO”, let’s gather and make a “PINK protest”, wink!!! Lorenzo Meazza is a man, I assume, so if a man can go for pink…have a lovely week!:*

    Kram Sofia

How pretty! I agree with you – Ikea is never afraid to change and comes up with new themes and designs somewhat impressively. I’m always surprised at what I find there (and am usually delighted at the price tag!). We furnished nearly our entire NYC apartment from there. Hope you have a wonderful week!

A little bit too much for me but it reminds me of Laura Ashley, which I loved when I lived in England. If Ikea is on this idea, I think it might catch on …. The Stepford wives mention is very appropriate !!

I know I’m not a pink girl, and yet … that pink bedroom tempted me so much. Thanks for writing of it.

I find it a little hard to incorporate pink into my home. These shades are lovely though, but the rooms are too cluttered for me, I’m more for minimalist approach.

Love the pink! And all the white too. So light and feminine! Thanks, Maria. Oh, our Ikea store is about 10 minutes away–at the Mall of America! Love going there…

I’ve been thinking alot about Pink too. Maybe it’s our Aussie winter being too grey, wet + gloomy. Ikea did well to go Pink and about time too.
