mmm pink gets me in that right working mood :)

It’s August and a large part of the Swedish population are back at work (in other words, nose to the grindstone :) after a long vacation. But I don’t think that work should be a chore – a job should be so much more than a boring ‘must’.

You need two things to spice up your work place: Inspiring surroundings and creative people. Something that can bring life to your working day is a personal mood board. It can take the form of a picture at your desk, flowers, or photos in an inspirational collage. I am going to frame all of my favourite small pictures and make mood board above my writing desk :)

That work has to be serious and boring isn’t really passé in 2012… everything is what you make it, so if you don’t like what you do… do something else :)

I wish you a wonderful start to a new, creative Autumn.

Within interior design, I love the combination of old and new, a marriage of history and modernism, romanticism meeting minimalism. In addition, I have a burning passion for crispy silks, dark chocolate and long baths with a fragrance of lavender.

  3. Pink does get you in the working mood! I would love to have my own home office in a new home, and I would use the colour pink too… Great pictures Maria!!

  4. Hi Maria, this is a great advise and greeting. I will be starting a new job in the fall! I just found out today. I am excited about it! This post is just right to where I am going!

  5. Love this! My workspace is a little less than inspiring at the moment – ideally I would have some cheap but sweet flowers, a little moodboard, maybe some cute stationery. I adore the first four photos – the ribbon board, the pink touches, the heart-shaped paperweight. Absolutely perfect.

  6. hi maria! thanks for commenting on my guest post on a little dash of ash!

these offices are stunning and so inspiring! i’m getting ready to set up my office and will have to refer back to these! thanks for sharing.
