It’s finally time for dreamy bedroom inspiration again, this time in gold. I’ve been obsessed with gold and golden details for a while now, and this is rubbing off in today’s post. I love luxurious bedroom inspiration and can lose a lot of time by scrolling through magazine pages with beautiful glamorous bedrooms … sigh :)

Well, that was a hefty overdose of bedroom inspiration in gold :) Sometimes, however, only a single detail such as a pompous gold mirror is all that is needed to get the bedroom up to royalty standards. It is also a good idea to mix golden and silver colored materials in the lead up to Christmas. Beige and gold also blend together nicely. Just never use gold in a tasteless way, like a bad 80’s disco :)
Do not use glossy gold porn fabrics, but rather the more matte golden tones as you see above. Velvet in gold for example can become a perfect base in the background as curtains and mix happily with some pillows just the right bit shiny gold as Thai silk.
Gold decor according to Feng Shui:
Gold is a color that stands for wealth and success in money according to Feng Shui. If you want more luck in money, use gold decor at home. You can for example make a small altar where you have gold coins, gold jewelry, or gold frames with pictures of people or family members whose wisdom and financial success you admire.
If you love the show, The Apprentice, for example, maybe you can put a picture of Donald Trump in this corner of your home or office. Alternatively, you can have golden statuettes, guardian angels or saints.
