It’s been awhile since I posted about bedroom inspiration here at Inredningsvis. Therefore, I have now chosen to splash out and show you some luxurious castle and manor house bedrooms. Almost all girls have probably at one point in their lives played princess, and dreamed sweet dreams of life at a castle and a wedding with a fairytale prince.
In reality though, things rarely turn out to be quite that glamorous. However, at least you can get some castle-like decor in your bedroom. All princesses have to swim through a sea of boring frogs before Prince Charming shows up. So until that day comes, sleeping royally like Princess can’t hurt.
Here is some royal bedroom inspiration. Enjoy!
This is my royal bedroom personified. LOVE IT! :)
Modern open fire together with classic bedroom. Do I even need to say it? Old + New = True :)
It’s not a royal bedroom without furs.
Royal style in the bedroom doesn’t necessarily need to cost a fortune. Be inspired by IKEA, Jysk and Mio with beautiful furs in various formats that can be used as both carpet and bedspread. Luxurious and easy. Buy Thai silk at low prices online, and hang them on a curtain rail in the ceiling for that hotel feeling. You can’t sleep glamourously without some kind of silk in the bedroom.
When it comes to furniture, the flea market is the poor man’s version of the luxury life. Buy an old bedside table in Rococo style and spend a boring weekend painting it in gold and silver. Classic Rococo chairs can be found at flea markets and all you need to do is dress them up in modern fabrics. Hey presto, a luxurious bedroom on a budget, fit for a queen, and good enough to impress Marie Antoinette.
What do you think about the castle/manor house bedroom style?
Have a glamorous day, cutis!
