Acadia National Park

When we hear ”Alaska” we thnk of cold weather, snow, glaciers and polar bears. But what you may not know is that some of the most spectacular autumn collages are actually in Alaska. Autumn is early here, with fresh air, miles and miles of colorful tundra and a good opportunity to discover the area’s wildlife. Do not forget to pack your camera as there are endless landscapes that look to be in flames thanks to their dark red, orange and golden tones.

Glacier National Park

Schedule your visit in early October to experience one Kodak moment after another. One of the best lookouts is on the top of Big Mountain located at over 2,000 meters altitude. Other ways to experience autumn nature is through a scenic drive or flight. Run up and down the mountain, or jump on a raft and slide down along the turquoise river while surrounded by foliage in all the colors of autumn.

Great Smokey Mountains National Park is most beautiful from mid-October to early November. During this period you will see a totally amazing palette of colors created by everything from sugar maples to amber trees, red maples and hickory trees. You can expect golden, rust, orange, and dark ruby ​​red tones. Maximize your fall experience by taking the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway over to Shenandoah National Park in Virginia.
