As I previously revealed, I’m a true bath tub fanatic and have a huge passion for beautiful bathrooms. The owners of these bathrooms really are lucky, as you’d be hard-pressed to find more more beautiful bathrooms than these!

Clawfoot bath tubs

In order to get that sought after romantic feel in a bathroom, you need a bathtub with feet. They give the right retro-luxurious feeling and make you think back to another time when romanticism wasn’t passé :)

It’s possible to get your hands on good quality used bathtubs with feet at auction. If the tub is worn, it’s easy to fix with the right renovation material. But I think light wear can give a feeling of history, giving the tub a unique character.

When the bath tub is finally in place, the only things missing are some lit candles, a glass of wine and a few drops of lavender oil. MMM … a bathroom wet-dream is complete :)

Within interior design, I love the combination of old and new, a marriage of history and modernism, romanticism meeting minimalism. In addition, I have a burning passion for crispy silks, dark chocolate and long baths with a fragrance of lavender.

  5. Oh I really love these bathrooms! These photos are making me more than a tad jealous! I am such a bathtub soaking kind of girl, but our new house doesn’t have a bathtub in the master!!! Sooo sad. I am thinking a master bath renovation is in store for the future! :)

  6. Hej Maria!

So delighted to find you!! I want to thank you for visiting my new blog, and for leaving such a wonderful comment. I really appreciate that!

I travel to Sweden frequently for our Swedish antiques shop, Tone on Tone. Have you heard of us? I’ve been traveling to Sweden for over 15 years now. I’ve only visited Gothenburg once…..went to Gunnebo, which was fantastic. That is truly one of my favorite Gustavian manor homes. And, the gardens are really spectacular.

You can follow my blog by email. There is a feature on my blog page. Thank you for asking. I look forward to following and reading your blog.

    Cheers from Washington, DC!
