Är du osäker på dukning så håll dig till vitt som bas. Vit linneduk och vackert vitt klassiskt porslin kan aldrig gå fel:)

Are you sure about table settings so stick to white as the base. White linen and beautifully classic white porcelain can never go wrong :)

Tiden går alldeles för fort och storhelgerna avlöser varandra. I helgen är det trettodagsafton, då kan det vara trevlig att duka fint till vänner och bekanta. Jag hade en väldigt lyckad nyårsbjudning på nyårsafton då jag för en gång skull gick in för att duka festligt. En vän som var med kom med den briljanta iden att använda murgröna som dukningsdecor och det blev såååå fint. Jon gjorde nyårssuppen och jag har då aldrig smakat godare mat, inte ens på restaurang:)

Jag ger er i detta inlägget lite skön dukningsinspiration från Zara Home, i mina favorit kulörer guld och silver. Jag tycker svenska dukningar kan vara något platta och tråkiga. Det är trots allt bara några tillfällen då man verkligen har chans att ta i med dukningen..så låt borden glimma och glittra ala Hollywood glamour:)

Let the tables sparkle

Time goes by way too fast and great weekends relentless. This weekend is the Epiphany, so it might be nice to set the table nicely for friends and acquaintances. I had a very successful New Year’s party on New Years Eve when I, for once, went in to set the table festively. A friend came up with the brilliant idea to use ivy as table setting decor and it was sooo nice. Jon made New Year’s dinner and I’ve never tasted better food – not even in restaurants :)

I give you in this post some nice table setting inspired by Zara Home, in my favorite colors gold and silver. I think Swedish table settings can be somewhat flat and boring. After all, it’s not often you have a chance to make great table settings… so let the tables gleam and glisten ala Hollywood glamor :)

    I’m dreaming of buying a set of those wonderful white yet rustic tableware as shown in picture ner 3… really dreaming. Almost craving, in fact.

    For a formal but less formal look than the achieved with mine…
