Plädar, plädar, låt mig bada i alla dessa underbara vinterpälsar :)
I helgen är det 1:a advent och själva ordet ger en smak av vad det handlar om, nämligen väntan. Den pirrande väntan till granens doft, väntan till tusen glimmande juleljus och barnen som väntar på dagen de äntligen får sina julklappar. För mig är advent klädd i vit vinterskrud med inslag av guld och silver. Vita värmande pälsplädar i soffan, öppen brasa och vita adventsljus tända i en vacker antik silverljusstake.
Visst behöver vi det vita i allt det mörka, det inger hopp om ljusare tider och får vintern att bli vackrare. Jag önskar alla därute som firar advent en riktigt mysig vit helg. Men kom ihåg att släcka alla tända adventsljus när ni går ut, annars blir det mer än brasan som brinner :)

Waiting for Advent
This weekend is the first weekend of Advent. Just the word ‘advent‘ makes me think of what it’s all about – the wait. That excited waiting for the scent of the Christmas pine, the wait for thousands of glistening Christmas lights, and children that wait to finally open Christmas presents. For me, Advent is white with touches of gold and silver. White warming fleece on the sofa, open fire and white Advent candles lit in a beautiful antique candle stick holder.
We definitely need white in all this darkness – it gives us hope for brigher times, and makes the Winter more beautiful. I wish all of you out there that celebrate Advent a very cosy and nice white weekend. Remember though to snuff out advent candles when you go out, otherwise inside the fireplace might not be the only place burning :)

I agree! We definitely need white at this time of year – it goes dark so early! I love every one of the gorgeous images you have selected for us. The beautifu l simple wreath and the candles in the first photo are my favourites and of course the amazing bedroom!
