Den här veckan får bli en liten hyllning till de allra sista sommardagarna.
Vad är väl en svensk sommar utan den klassiska röda lilla sommarstugan. Inget land har en sådan förkärlek till röda trä hus med vita knutar, som Sverige. Jag märker ett stort intresse från utländska följare av allt som tillhör svensk kultur. Detta tycker jag är extra kul och bjuder mer än gärna på de godaste bitarna från vår svenska sommartårta. Jag kan se mig själv i framtiden med en liten röd stuga långt ut i ingenmansland, dit jag kan fly från storstads stress och oljud. Det bästa vore att bo med en brygga intill, så att man bara kan gå ner och hoppa i sjön :)

A Swedish Classic: Little red cottage
This week is a tribute to the last days of Summer.
What would a Swedish Summer be without the classic little red cottage, or “stuga” in Swedish. Sweden has a real love affair with red cottages with white trims. I’ve noticed that many of you who live abroad are very interested in Swedish culture. I think this is great, and am more than happy to show you the tastiest parts of our Swedish Summer sweets :) In the future, I’d love to have a little red cottage far away in no-mans-land where I can escape the stress and noise of the city. It would be even better with a pier nearby, so that you could just go down and take a dip in the lake :)
A red Swedish cottage is my idea of a perfect Summer place. What’s yours??

I’ve always had the dream of a little cabin on a lake in the Mountains of my home state of Montana. But a liitle red cottage in Sweden will work just as well. I love the post, Maria!
